Hearts leap
sparks fly
all this happens
when you walk by

I miss your scent
The way you looked
The secrets not told
The one you kept from me

My heart aches
Thrashes in pain
Tired of all this
Wondering what's gonna happen next

You walked out the door
Wrote the ending to my life
Took away my fairytale
Added to the strife

Thoughts of you race
Constantly remind me
The mistakes I made
The storms behind me

Tears break free
Do you know what
You've done to me
You hid the key

Locked my heart
Deep within you
Kept it all this time
Swallowed the key

I still can't call you mine
Lost and abandoned
All alone all because
You couldn't let go
