Let Me Dance With Serpents Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Let Me Dance With Serpents

Let me dance with Serpents
The cry:
‘No forbidden fruits;
‘No thing forbidden'
‘And no phenomenon'

With glass red in our hands
We celebrate Youth
Though be past their Youth.

But the Spirit lives,
Lives on
We shall continue it
Se
The moon, the stars, the night with us
And
All with red glasses in our hands
All celebrating Youth without forbidding
Though most of us beyond its limit.'
