Let Me Evolve (Part 1) Poem by Kingsley Egbukole

Let Me Evolve (Part 1)

Let the setting of the sun
Tarry the dandling cane
To discipline the growing black child
Who disobeys the dictates of dominion
The child stubborn may persist but ignorant
That the yam and cassava grow best
On native nutritious humus
And not on exotic inorganic matter
Of mother Africa
