Let Me Go

Can you see?
That you can’t control me
I’ve grown enough
To hold my own
And its time for me
To reap what I’ve sown
You should trust me
And know me well
Instead of holding me back
Putting me through hell
I know what to do
I’m on the right track
I can do this without you
Why can’t you just see that?
I’ve been taught well
I’ve got plans laid out
I need to follow them out as well
This is what my life’s about
