Let Me Love You Poem by Sasha Claire Beckains

Let Me Love You

Far across the horizon,
far across the land,
I know you're somewhere
out there, needing love
without end.

Your soul is yearning
for peace, for someone
to come take you away.
Your heart is in shambles,
wanting to rot away.

You look out into the
distance, but your eyes
show no expression, you
reach out like there's a
savior, but no one stands
before you.

My love is on the way,
to spring you back to life,
to sprinkle you with sunshine,
and give you everlasting light.

I see a glimpse of renewal,
of someone I've known before.
The cracks of pain are healing,
you're being restored.

Your smile starts to show,
your eyes begin to shimmer.
The love in you is full of
life and treasures.

You take my hand so gently,
you wrap your arms around me,
your precious words that whisper,
'My love you have saved me.'
