Let Me Rejoice Poem by Sumita Jetley

Let Me Rejoice

In the rhythm of daily grind, a sacred dance,
Where every stir, every chop, a chance,
To turn the mundane into divine trance,
In the kitchen's heart, the Sufi chef's glance.

Amidst the clatter, a melody unfolds,
In every spice and herb, a story told,
A whisper of wisdom, ancient and bold,
In pots and pans, mysteries of life behold.

The chef, a mystic in disguise,
With every slice, he sanctifies,
In the steam and sizzle, his spirit flies,
A dance of flavors under the skies.

To the world, he's just a humble cook,
But in his realm, a sacred nook,
Where every meal is a blessed book,
Of love and joy, just take a look.

In the heart of Lahore, a hidden gem,
A kitchen where time seems to stem,
Here, cooking is a sacred hymn,
In Irfan's hands, life's vigor brim.

For those who rush, lost in life's race,
His kitchen offers a tranquil space,
A moment to slow, a different pace,
In every dish, a touch of grace.

For Sara, the exec, with a heart astray,
The Sufi's kitchen showed the way,
To find joy in the everyday,
In simple acts, her soul did sway.

Irfan, the chef, in his humble abode,
Turned every chore into a golden ode,
In his presence, a serene mode,
A path to peace, a luminous road.

Through Irfan's art, the mundane glows,
In every grain, the spirit flows,
A lesson of life, gently it shows,
In the kitchen of the Sufi, enlightenment grows.
