Let The Chill Knock. Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Let The Chill Knock.

Let the chill knock.

Here it be warm between these walls.

First drops of rain.

And first blowing of winds.

And neighs.

And neighs the old house in the corner.

Creak windows as to let in ghosts.

Horror passes by and faceless knocks.

Though no reply it waits there patiently.
