Let the winter go,
All the light gone,
Darkness envelopes homes,
With the quilt ice cold,
Let the white clouds go,
No snowfall better,
No wood for stoves,
Electricity outside gone,
No geysers,
No room heaters,
No radiators,
Better the sky,
Be blue now,
Let the spring,
Come now,
Bare trees wear green,
All that is yellow and fallen,
May turn green and live again,
Let the rivers not freeze now,
Let them keep flowing,
And sweep all the filth away,
Let the spring birds return now,
From far off winter habitats,
And sing the spring songs of glory,
Let the season of ice and death go,
Let spring come back now,
With our stolen electricity.
