Let Them Go! Poem by Sumita Jetley

Let Them Go!

In a room where sunlight danced,
Among the plants and elegance enhanced,
A husband shouted, filled with plight,
'Tell me what's wrong, day and night.'

She sat there, calm, sipping her tea,
A mystery growing, she let it be.
He questioned, worried, filled with despair,
Her changes, her silence, he couldn't bear.

'Why won't you talk? ' his voice now soft,
Her smile was gentle, her gaze aloft.
'I'm here, ' she said, 'different, not bad,
Embrace this change, don't be sad.'

He sighed, confused, 'But you're so... new, '
'Different isn't bad, it's just you.'
'You don't need to understand to care,
Love isn't a puzzle, it's simply there.'

'Love means letting go, ' she said so kind,
'Acceptance, trust, give me peace of mind.'
He looked around at the vibrant room,
Realized holding tight only brought gloom.

She took his hand, 'Trust us, let us grow,
In freedom, true love starts to show.'
He saw her then, not a mystery to solve,
But a person, evolving, to deeply involve.

A nod, a smile, 'I'll try, I swear, '
She squeezed his hand, love's gentle care.
In letting her be, he found the key,
To the most beautiful version of 'we'.
