Let There Be Spring! Poem by Marilyn Lott

Let There Be Spring!

I long for tiny little buds
From the cold and naked trees
I long to hear sweet chirps of birds
The quaint buzzing from the bees

I wait so long it seems to me
For winter to lose its chill
And allowing sun to warm us
Oh yes, I’d be so fulfilled

I wait for the little signatures
That spring is on its way
When a subtle sign finally comes
It will be such a special day

The colors we get in spring
The smells that waft in the air
The lightness of our hearts
As though there’s not a single care

It won’t be long, I’m sure of it
A warm change nature will bring
It’s been a harsh and snowy winter
So please, let there be spring!
