Lord, I thank You - praise You this day,
Asking You to lead us in Your Way.

Help us to receive it as a special gift.
May we use it to encourage us to lift.

Every person we chance to see or meet-
On country road and every city street.

Challenge us to be helpful and kind-
Offer cheerful greeting in heart and mind. Grant sensitivity to every ill and need-
Not in mere words only, but also in deed

To Senior citizens, handicapped, each child,
Every race and color, may they be reconciled.

When this day ends and You lay it to rest,
Today and tomorrow help us to be our best.
