Lethal Kiss Poem by Alfred Ramos

Lethal Kiss

Am I not mortal?
Destined to open a lover’s portal
Do I not possess the omnipotence of man?
The ability to follow the Master plan
But then that lethal kiss
So irresistible I couldn’t dismiss
It put me on the brink of insanity
Tottering in a place where the heart knows no vanity
Am I not a sanctuary?
Destined to overcome the ordinary
Am I not a prevalent prince of good?
Investing in a tranquility that can be understood
But then that lethal kiss
Sending me into another dimension of bliss
Into the edges of darkness I rose
A distorted reflection right under my nose
Am I not a rapture of hope?
Spreading the convenience to cope
Raising the spirit of all mankind
So that no one is left behind
But then the lethal kiss
Even Cleopatra didn’t hear the hiss
A spider woman is what you are
Leaving your red mark as a battle scar
So if one day I learn to understand
The true weakness of man
Amid the fears
I’m all ears
