Letters (In Response To Utada Hikaru's 'Letters') Poem by Geramie White

Letters (In Response To Utada Hikaru's 'Letters')

Rating: 5.0

This is for my distant lover,
Seven bottles in the ocean I have just discovered,
Each of your letters discribing your love for me,
But my failure to respond had lead towards your hate for me,
I want to write back to you but I fear it might be too late,
By now, you may have already found another mate,
This vast wind that always sings,
I felt that I have clipped your wings,
Ah, my love I regret leaving you,
Ah, I know there's nothing I can do,
Ah, everyday I listen to your beutiful songs,
How the hell should I go on?
All of your letters, spread across my desktop,
Missing you hurts so much I could just drop,
These seven bottles represent the months we've been apart,
When I left I never looked away as I depart,
Baby could you please gave me another chance,
They said that loves deserves a second chance,
Ah, I wonder if you will ever take me back,
Despite all the time together we lacked,
This letter I worte sealed with a thousand apologies,
Ah, Even now I'm on my knees begging you please,
I am praying this letter returns to you my distant lover,
Hopefully, we can return to one another.
