Letting All Go Poem by Alice Shaw

Letting All Go

Rating: 4.0

Letting all go
Following the flow
The constant rushing in and out
Which stops us blowing out
Like a mere candle in the wind
The only one of a kind
Appearing so strong
And always falling short
Always feeling out of sorts

How about a new start
Where all is clear
And the light shines bright
Is this life so dear
That you wouldn’t try another?
Is all that matters
The welfare of this earth that shatters?
I think you know answer
You know this feeling
Which only tells us
That what really matters
Is the welfare of a being

So the next phase
Is to find this person
Who’ll come when you’re down
And show this daze.
Is there a name for this
I doubt there is
But deep down lays an answer
Which only you can uncover.
