Liberty Poem by Kathryn Warren

Liberty

Rating: 4.5

I scramble to the top of a hill, and I look back over the chasm I've spanned. After I pause to catch my breath, I reach out to
take God's hand. Never was the air so fresh, the grass so sweet
and clean. Freedom HAS a countenance, the fairest, I've ever seen.
And as I look back across the land, I think about the others;
The ones who had been my enemies, have all become my brothers.
