Licorice Pizza. Poem by G.S Ortiz

Licorice Pizza.

I simply write to slow down the quicken paced river that sometimes over flows an already drowning mind.

Within the lines of these sheets of paper are my attempts to lay rest an uneasy past.

A day of forgiveness and redemption and rebirth will finally give me the strength to let go of a lifetime of arrogance, unto a sea of forgotten memories of hubris.

The source of my agony and anger should not be embedded in memories of these times.

I suppose that's what they call life's continous journey.

Waiting for you at the end if you are brave enough to take this journey is the reward.

You will be the person you've always wanted to be.

Forged out of hell's fire.

Gripped in one hand is destiny's sword, dripping full of desire and finally the cure for all your madness.
