Life Poem by Cheyenne WinfreyYoung

Life

The tears in my eyes are making my vision blurry
I wipe them away and smile so you don't start to worry
Don't think it's nothing even if that's what I say
Because the things that go wrong aren't just from that day

Just because I say I'm fine doesn't mean it's true
Sometimes I truly wish that they completely knew
But I'm scared that they wouldn't look at me the same
If they knew what goes through my head all throughout the day

It's been harder and harder to fake this happy smile
From the looks of it I'll be faking it for a while
I hate when I cry because of how weak I feel
An old childhood nightmare has now become real

What would you do if you knew I want to cut?
Would you try and stop me or would there be a 'but'?
Or would you tell me that I'm over exaggerating this all?
Would you actually believe me if you finally saw me fall?

I doubt you would because you couldn't give less of a....
But if i ever said that to you then I'd be a.....
That's how it is right? I can never speak my mind.
If I did though, don't you wonder what you might find?

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
So this isn't all 100% true about me like the cutting and suicidal stuff. It's just what came out when I had the pen in my hand. Give your opinions. I don't think it's that good. But oh well.
COMMENTS OF THE POEM
A Waltz For Zizi 09 December 2013

It's twisted but I like it. It resembles my heart. You should change some words or they'll remove your poem for profanity. I had some poems removed too. Keep up the good work.
