Life - Poem by Molly Rhodes

life isn't the best thing around.
it can bring you up and dropp you to the ground.
parents, friends, teachers, boys?
i wish i was little and still had my toys.

when your friends throw things back into your face
when parents make your lifes all over the place.
when teachers tell you your never right.
when boys look at every girl in sight.

sometimes i just want to shout
'leave me alone' and then walk out.
sometimes i want to walk so far,
right untill im a little star.
shining up in the night sky,
away from darkness and into light.

then i look back and think about it
life can be ok, bit by bit.
sometimes you laugh and sometimes you cry.
but in the end you always get by.

when im older im gonna get a tatoo
and hide all the scars
which shows all the hurt
caused my you.

and from now on im gonna keep on by
with the biitching, hurting and lies.
cause when i think, its not so bad,
not with all the fun i have.

'when parents make your lifes'? and why the idiosyncratic spellings (eg dropp) ? pits galore, where'd you hide the cherries? (Report)Reply
