I have to wonder what life was like
Life from way back when
This shotgun house from Tennessee
Was built, what it was like back then?
Look at the delicate features of
The front of this sad, lost home
I'll bet that there were creatures too
Perhaps they were left to roam.
Could it still be fixed, is there hope?
Like there was back then?
Oh yes, I wonder what life was like
Life from way back when.
