Life In Black And White

God’s word is wholesome food and drink
By grace He longs to give
Changing the very way we think
Changing our way to live

Beneath the shadow of our King
His servant’s eyes can see
And through God’s Light each soul can sing
Obedience is the key

True hearts will yield to love and grace
God’s peace in flowing steams
The guarantee to see His face
Outweighs our hopes and dreams

Life’s truth’s made clear in black and white
God’s secret things revealed
Unadorned, within plain in sight
When to His Son we yield

Impossible for fools to see
With sinful hearts full pride
But those who truly Christ set free
There’s nothing more to hide

How great His love such wondrous bliss
Such peace rains down from high
Receiving life’s awakening kiss
And promise ne’er to die

So God’s true word we need to read
Making election sure
Allowing it as planted seed
To grow through Heaven’s Door

To grow within a sinful mind
Each shameful heart and soul
Guiding the deaf the lost and blind
Healing and making whole
