Life In The Fast Lane. Poem by Jacqueline Dube

Life In The Fast Lane.

In the beginning life is new.
We giggle and laugh at mummy, and even daddy too.
As we grow, we learn to talk and walk and feel.
we cant wait to get our next meal.
We go to school.
we learn new rules.
make new friends.
start new trends.
we grow older and get a job.
I have to, Im not a slob.
As I leave the family home.
I somehow feel quite alone.
But Im not, I start a new life.
PHEW, I even have a new wife.
So it starts all over again.
A new baby, we called him Wayne.

An insightful depiction of journey of life as a circle, well articulated and nicely penned with conviction. Lovely poem nicely brought forth in beautiful rhyme scheme. Thanks for sharing Jacqueline. Please read my poem POETIC MASTERPIECE.
