Life Is A Dark Night

Rating: 5.0

Life is a Dark Night

Half the life full of darkness,
Mistakes after mistakes fell,
Life was not felt in right way,
Every chance was lost for nothing.

In the darkness remains
my entire self,
River of Life flowed and I am embanked,
Now without hope and prayer,
Life is a utter wastage of thought.

In the darkness of memory,
Painful seems to be living,
Only the sullen aura of sadness,
It would have been a bright morning,
the sunny day and full moon night
with gleaming stars.

All the beauty of heart gone,
The warm touch of nature lost,
Love lost the glory to be Love,
Living is an imprisonment.

Yet do I live to witness the living,
The last hope to know
the unknown origin of life,
Last gleams to meet the spirit.

Life can be a failure,
Life can be a punishment,
Never there can be a futile death,
Death is always death and
it has nothing to do with success.

The memory is now hazy,
Cloud is gathering little by little,
The remotest one is out of sight,
All will be lost very soon.

When life fails to end the Journey,
When life fails to meet the end,
It becomes a debt, a liability,
Death comes to recoup the arrearages,
Life's all incomplete Vestibules.
