Life Is Futile Poem by Tina Rizk

Life Is Futile

My love,

If my life was a storm
You'd be the rainbow
If my life was the sea
You'd be an island

And yet my life is not who I am
I'm a soul living a human experience
The earth is not my permanent residence
I came here to learn, to grow, to pay my dues

Life is futile
A mere journey on a train, unpredictable
The drivers alternate between destiny and fate
The trip is temporary, not worth all the worries

But being with you changed my whole perspective
Life took a different turning point, magical
My soul breathed freedom for the first time
For your love, sweet soulmate, is sublime
