Life Is My Favorite Cereal Poem by Dallin Bruun

there's lots of different lunches and dinners
but I eat one thing for breakfast:
cold cereal

maybe Cheerios or something granola-ey
but always
bowl
spoon
milk

sure, there's the occasional waffles or eggs
when someone's extra motivated
but I would have been fine with some Corn Chex

not mush
even with sugar it's poison.
I don't like Wheat Chex either
or Grape Nuts
those sit on the shelf for ages

but I like watching whole milk pour onto cereal
and corn flakes with blueberries
and just plain Life
