Life Is Our Game - Poem by Nkululeko Mdudu
Oh we could have been mind readers,
life savers and care givers but instead
we chose to be ourselves. Victors against
adversity, kings of an empire, children
of mercy who only play but never win;
in the game of life.
But life is our game so we go on
searching for the ball in the woods,
for that last shot at glory bafore dark.
And when darkness consumes all,
we will take that shot in the dark.
