Life Is Vanity Still Poem by Damian olatunde Ogedengbe

Life Is Vanity Still

From no where to some place,
Struggled to get my own space,
How i survived it, a mystery,
I had my daily bread, no bakery,
Finally out to take a fresh breath,

Everyone was happy to see me,
But i was not, as i cried bitterly,
Knowing i survived to die again,
Not today, but some unknown day,
My clock already started ticking,

I knew i had to leave an imprint,
And so was everyone around me,
Hades loved to be pick randomly,
Either you left an imprint or not,
I have to be a step ahead this misery,

I saw Hades pick the genius among us,
Just then, i realized, a step at a time,
Everyone is too busy trying to do same,
Live life, Breathe, play like a kid again,
You might just end up making a name.
