Life Of A Balloon(Ladder Poetry) Poem by Adookorn Auaduma

Life Of A Balloon(Ladder Poetry)

so shallow and frail is earthly man, his life -
a balloon fill with air to look gorgeous
wade in thin, in dense air, away in the sky -
deflated, do not return body with shell,
fly away from memory and thought,
so man's frenzy existence goes,
though it rises to the crest of living -
no sooner than fades away, an ephemeral air,
exception of his kind deeds that lingers on -
fame, wealth, family and longing all
abandoned for strangers and foes alike -
his toil and hustle to aquire more than needed,
hurls him onto the foot of others in folly avaritia -
what he will not leave to own continual!
