I stepped outside my skin one night
To watch my life pass by,
I saw the light
And pondered thought
Is this my time to die?
Do I start living now hence forth
As the future seems so bright?
Or do I follow darkness
Swept by winds of north
Into the everlasting night?
Sometimes in life
Things aren't as bad
As though they may well seem,
There's a flame that flickers on and on
If you battle the tide upstream.
Come sun or rain
Wind or Shine,
There's a light that never fades,
It's effervescence infinite
In all that it evades,
This light represents life itself
Or so some people say,
If you are destined to follow
It will blow your soul away,
Should you be stumped or mystified
You surely wouldn't ponder,
On decisions that may grapple you and make you stop to wonder,
For this is your life
So live it well
And don't let it slip by,
Because otherwise
Time won't wait for you
And you'll have missed your chance to try.
