Life Passes On Poem by Tyrone Sawyer

Life Passes On

The room was black, inside sat a
man praying
I knew of this because I could hear
what he was saying
The words he spoke were loud and clear
He was praying to his God about that which he feared
I could hear him crying and yelling in pain
as if he'd been overtaken by something insane
I turned the knob to the door, without
any luck
I tried and tried, but it seemed to be
stuck
Without my help, the door opened up
awfully quick
I went into the room, but the smell
of death made me sick
The lights were out, without moanings of
pain,
I turned on the lights to see
what had reamained.
I was shocked by that which was on the
bed
the bible and a cross in the hands of a man
that was dead.
The door shut tight, Lightening and then
rain
I knew at that moment, It was happening again
THE END
