Calling Upon Death Poem by Tyrone Sawyer

Calling Upon Death

I've finally made the decision
It has taken me so long
And I want to tell you about it
in my suicidal song
I don't wish to live
and suicide is what I hear
So I say unto you my children
That my time is near
They tell my children
that the wage of sin is death
For the sins I've committed
Suicide will surely pay my debts
I'll never smile anymore
and some people may even cry
I'm sure they won't understand
the way I chose to die
But still some people will visit
and put wildflowers on my grave
My father will surely reward them
for the kindness they hath gave
I'll pray to my Father
to dry the tears you weep
to help you understand
that I've only gone to sleep
I wish to thank you all for being
a part of this life I've seen
But as for me, this isn't Death
only the end of my dream
The End
