Life (Salt Of Life 4) (Health Is Wealth) Poem by U Win Kyi

A very rich man has many diseases.
For him, living becomes so unease.
Always feeling unwell,
with on and off dizzy spell.
His speech is slurred and unclear.
His limbs are not freely movable.
His mind is depressed and miserable.
These are due to poor circulation,
leading to low brain perfusion.

He is always in air hunger,
like a fish out of water.
Eating, bathing, peeing, poohing
and other daily routines,
need him a great exertion.
During sleep he can't lie down flat.
He has to raise the head of bed.
He suffers from orthopnea, (breathlessness)
due to lung edema (fluid accumulation)
He has lung and heart problem,
which surely will make his life expectancy shorten.

By drinking alchol and smoking he abuses his body,
causing damages to it mercilessly.
He thought he could buy health with his wealth.
Now he loses his health,
and can't enjoy his wealth.

Without health, life is meningless.
Without salt, food is tasteless.
So health is Salt of Life,
a true fact he can't hide,
without any choice.
If he is given a chance to start over,
he would say to alcohol and smoking....' No, never.'
