Life Unaltered Poem by Sarah Kelly

Life Unaltered

Life Unaltered
Like the rains soft taps, in to the night calm darkness lies
Living like a dream land only to ignite, little does she know
Life lights only the damndest trees, only to diminish these blind three
Lustful only to the train, wander free to find in me
Lower into the earth, I sought one true lie
Living like a fountain, full of deadly sky
Leaving all behind only a single goodbye, why can one only sigh

All in darkness we must lie, living like a plunderous lie
After all we shall never fly, living on the floor of this bright life
Again all alone, living like a foe
Alone, lifeless bodies lie, are we shattered in a black less night only to find little lost
And lonely loving tongues do seek life’s sweet remedy
Are all only simple likings deep enough to fight
In time we shall all discover life’s unaltered final
