Life's River Flows Endlessly Poem by Mohammad Younus

Life's River Flows Endlessly

Rating: 5.0

Life's river flows endlessly,
A boundless, borderless current—free and unrestrained,
Emerging from some nameless eternity,
Its source a mystery, its destination unknown.
Its path leaves no trace, yet it never wavers,
Carving roads through valleys of existence,
Whispering across time's infinite expanse,
Singing ballads of becoming, hymns of surrender.

When it moves forward, remember—
Life has always been flowing toward you,
Not like a distant shore to reach,
But as a river longing to merge with your presence.
It is no prize to be won,
No riddle to solve,
But a dance to join,
A melody to hum.

You cannot reverse this current,
Nor carve new paths in its unseen depths.
The past is a shadow, the future a dream,
And the present slips through your hands like water.
But you can surrender to its wisdom,
Trust the pull of its endless gravity,
Learn to flow toward the light,
And let the river carry you home.

Pause and ask yourself:
Does every step you take,
Every thought you nurture,
Bring you closer to that source—
The wellspring of all being?
Are you rooted in the silence within,
Or lost in the noise outside?
Are you seeking truth,
Or wandering in the mirage of separation?

But look deeper—
You came from nowhere,
And nowhere else awaits you.
You are no traveler on a linear road,
No drop in an endless stream.
No place can contain you,
No time can bind you,
For you are beyond all horizons,
Free from the illusion of coming and going.

No arrival, no departure,
No beginning, no end.
Only presence—timeless, eternal.
You are both the river and the shore,
The seeker and the sought,
The question and the answer.
You are,
You were,
And you will be.
