Life

Tired of going through this lonely road again
But it's the only route I know
Where I can be myself, keep my peace
Of mind and try to heal my soul.
I learnt always sticking up for others
Gon' eventually get you stuck
It is not always cowardice to duck
When you don't know who threw the rock.
It seems life throws banana peels your way
Just in time for the world to watch you fall
But backing down from every single fight
Is something my conscience don't stand for
I've learnt learning is something I need to learn each and every single day.
Also an unaccomplished long life is no
Better than an early grave
And bravado is acting as if you're too brave.
It feels like the sun no longer shines on me
The nocturnal light of the moon mocks me
And the current frequency of dark thoughts
Right here in my head steadily shocks me
So much skeletons in my closet whenever
I try to open it, I feel like I'm in a graveyard
Life gets tough on those who are strong
it goes harder on those that stay hard
