Lifetime Christmas Present Poem by Robert Stewart

Lifetime Christmas Present

T'was the night before my wedding,
I was nervous as hell.
Am I really getting married,
will it last or will it fail?
We met just before Christmas,
on a blind date, you see.
I thought she was hot,
did she feel the same about me?
It's been 49 years,
since we met that night.
A love that has lasted,
it just seems so right.
A love that is willing,
to roll with the flow.
Take all that comes with it,
the highs and the lows.
My life truly changed,
that night that we met.
And all for the better,
for that you can bet.
So when Christmas time comes,
it's so special you see.
God brought me a gift,
EVERLASTING FOR ME.
