Light Poem by Cody James Williams

Light

'I can't get you out of my head,
I want to be your butter to your bread,
I want to snuggle up with you in bed,
But, f***, I'm so f***ed up in my head,
It's like I'm getting butt f***ed,
2 parts of me are stuck,
I want one to be gone, but that'd take luck,
I want it to be trucked into a lake,
To make this curse break,
God, this chain makes me ache,
I need to catch the plane before I make a mistake,
The chain makes me have to have this cane,
It makes the rain to only pour on me,
Whoa, always me,
Constantly complaining about being crazy,
Even though I'm more sane than you and me?
But this darkness always makes me think crazy,
Won't somebody help me?
The darkness is lurking in the shadows,
I try to run to the light, but it overshadows,
I'm in a bubble of light, despite
the darkness,
part of You is my bubble and my main light,
Start to pack your things, because I'm about to go upright,
About to find my wings, and take flight,
Take my hand so we can become king and queen,
I'm so tired of the dark obstructing my screen,
The light is my vaccine,
Soon I'll see everything clean,
And soon I'll see everything'

Sometimes a warrior has to be brave and go sacrifice by going into a losing battle in order to win the war. When that battle is lost, soldiers always find out good friends and family have been keeping the home fire burning and will move heaven and Earth to help him heal.
