Light Shower Poem by Ash Desrocher

Light Shower

The shower,
of light
my mind devours
Everyday of the week.
But you're the light,
I've been searching for forever,
I'm screaming like a kettle on a stove,
I'm not used to all these emotions of love,
but I'm willing to try, for you.

Dreams of you,
with your blonde hair,
blue eyes,
rewriting every conversation
that you and I had.
Wishing that you asked me out again
after that dance,
but your friends made fun of you,
for even going,
let alone with me.
The freak.

You told me you liked me,
and I never would've expected,
to see heaven in your eyes,
when I looked over at you,
seeing you looking at me.
But now all I see is hell,
and all I feel is sadness,
jealousy,
I never once was treated right,
you're what I was missing in my life,
and all my anger,
sadness,
regret,
disappear,
cause you,
make me want to plan out my last days,
on this earth,
with you.
