Lightning Poem by Nightshade Starlight

Lightning

As darkness decends
The clourds rolls in.
Sparks are flashing
In the night sky.
Flashing, booming,
Rumbling, the air is cracking.
Lightning is flashing
Across the sky.
The rain is coming down
In a roll and wave.
Yet here I stand
With a smile on my face.
The rain is falling,
The skies are angry.
Falling, drowing,
Flashing, grumbling.
As I wait,
I wonder shall the lightning hit me?
The Grumble
The Rumble is getting closer.
I can see the lightning in the sky,
If it hits me, why should I care?
It would be a mercy
To hit me now.
So I watch.
Lightning flashing
And I smile as it passes
How I love storms.
