Lights Out (Continuance Of Right Choice) Poem by Veronica T. C.

Lights Out (Continuance Of Right Choice)

Rating: 5.0

You gave me two puppies,
Years later,
Life goes on,
Life changes,
My little man is gone his mother is slowly following him behind.

Everything has changed expect your presence.
The only pups that loved me unconditionally are disappearing.
The lights in my life are slowly going out and I'm being left in the darkness.

My heart of gold,
My child instincts still lit a candle hoping,
Waiting,
For you to come to back,
But now I'm grown.

Im blowing out the candle once and for all

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This is a Continuance of " Right Choice" a poem I wrote when I was 8 years old. I am now an adult with my own family, friends and a life that does not contain my father we live two entirely differant lives with no communication what so ever. This is my way of of letting go. The dogs he gave to me as a child are passing away slowly and its heart breaking to go through.
