Like A Beating Heroine Poem by Dakota Ellerton

Like A Beating Heroine

So many times I've gone to call you
but everytime I do
I have a pain in my chest
this pain is from you

you give me this feeling
words can not describe
it's a flutter in my stomach
that will not subside

you've become my drug
you make me feel real
like nothing ever could
yet it's something I must conseal

I run for my phone
when it starts vibrating
I always hope it's you
this, I'm anticipating

I'll keep on waiting for you
until the day
you can be mine
and keep it that way
