Like A Train Poem by nikki irvine

Like A Train

Like a train going down it’s track,
As the horse goes along a mountain path,
A break through time and space,
Is all I can see,
Breathe a sigh of relief as winter is here,
The cold crisp morning waiting to appear,
Is where I want to stay,
Is all that I can say,
There is fog in the air,
And a dog runs on by,
To only see its black silhouette,
Disappear to where I don’t know,
Rain falls down to the sound of drums,
Into the night,
To see the stars,
To see the moon is all I care,
So I can just stop and stare.
