Like You Poem by Tessa Eichhorst

Like You

Too many years have gone by since I've seen
your face. Too many tears have been cried since
your day of grace.

As the sky sometimes grows grey and sadness
draws near, I look into my fathers eyes and
realize you're still here. You're in his smile, in
his laugh, in his walk, and in his love.

So now my tears are dry and my hearts okay,
because everytime I wave goodbye, you wave
back and heal my pain.
