Linen Papers Poem by Chester Maynes

Linen Papers

I write love letters
On linen papers
Longer, sweeter
They talk
Like radios
Words surreal
Of thousand raptures
They speak
Like televisions
They vibrate
Frequency of worship

I write you
These words
On linen papers
Earnest laughs
Of many delights
We often hear
Random I love you’s
We talk of them
On endless air
These words in love
We are the lovers
