Lion's Paw Poem by doug bentley

Lion's Paw

Rating: 5.0

soldiers are seekers of justice.

they greed on the whiff
of blood of terrorist;

rage with lust in hunt
to obliterate dictator.

dignified gentlemen generals are.

civil in courtesy, passive
demeanor, dog face sad faces -

but any general will grab you
by your fancy tie and, like
a noose pull until you suffocate

if you stand one dot in the way
of letting the lion taste due

A succint and tacit portrait of a soldier, stern and cvil at the sametime, in deft strokes and sober hues! Majestic in theme and thought! ! How occasionally he bares his paw hidden in velvet gloves! !
