Lisa's Lament Poem by Faith Brigham

Lisa's Lament

I cried for you this morning
When I heard that Zoey passed
But she knows how much you loved her
Gave her all a dog could ever ask

I cried with you this morning
As I kissed my old dog's face
Not knowing how much longer
He'll have left in such a case

Be glad that Zoey did know
How good a life that she had
Even though she had to go
She wished you wouldn't be sad

Very nice poem, Faith. Everybody who's ever had a dear pet knows that 'dogs are people, too.'
