Listen Poem by Gabriel Jirgba

Listen

If you could be still a minute
If you could listen to yourself
To the midnight whispers-
The gentle whispers of the zephyr
Learn to trust your instincts:
Then you'd be all, and all would be you.
For you would hear sounds,
The silent, still and steady voice-
There in your heart and soul.
The little still- steady whispers
If you trust your own instincts
If you believe- believe in yourself
You would fly- as you have no wings
You would touch the stars
If only you could listen.
