Little Bird Poem by Chandra Shekhar Dubey

Little Bird

Rating: 3.0

The little bird
behind the green tufts
peep through bare leaves
as she sings in trills
the song of another day.
She flutters her wings
to soar high in the sky
struggling against rough wind
that hinders her claim to sky. She perches, jumps for flight moving slowly from boughs to boughs. Unmindful of obstinate obstacles she flutters her little wings
to unfurl the wide horizon
to which her searching eyes are set. Streching her wings again and again
she fuels her desire for flight
and adorns the sky as she flies.

The little bird teaches us nothing can stop them whose wagons
are hitched to the stars.
