Rain, rain bring
coolness of your showers
to scorched plants
silent and sultry.
Rain, rain bring
your torrents to earth
parched and thirsty
in restless summer
to sprout the grass,
ferns and dry leaves.
Rain, rain bring
relief to toiling farmers
to put seeds to fields
to grow crops
that feed people.
Rain, rain bring.
blessings of your showers.
to give a new lease of life
to earth, plants and trees
Rain, rain bring
the joy of creation..
and smile to every face.
