Little Eagle Poem by Baharak Barzin

Little Eagle

Hey little eagle
Tell me where my beloved love is
When
You fly deserts away
When
You soar to skies of blue
Find my little one
Tell him I'm never alive again
Hey little eager
Let him hear my days of torment
Let him see my nights of sorrow
He may prove
He may love again

The speaker is bereft, abandoned, close to despair. She asks a little eagle, probably because his smaller size makes him more approachable. This gesture will save her from despair, because it is based on the HOPE that there is in this faithless lover a trace of.sympathy. The messages the eagle will deliver is that her life has become 24-hours of suffering., day after day, night after night. If the man responds like a human being, he will least check on her, admit his fault and ask for her forgiveness. Then he will leave and really disappear from her life. She will be freed from her obsession and begin afresh in her search for love. Your poem makes me admire her and hope she will survivr to find a more worthy man.
