Little Girl Poem by Nilufer Dursun

Little Girl

It was a cold winterday when the sun was getting pale
An eight, nine years old girl was buried into the earth
With the eight nine people.
Cried when she remained alone
‘Mom’ said
‘Mom’
With tears
Pure as angels, sinless
An old grandfather stood up in his grave
With his pale face
Settled her pillow that made of earth.
An old grandmother appeared
With the tears…
Silently said
‘Cover well our grandchild’s body,
Do not get her cold’ to the grandfather.
